I recently had a disappointing experience at the salon. Jennifer did my nails, and unfortunately, the results were far from satisfactory. She didn't take the time to even out the surface of my nails, resulting in an uneven finish—some areas are bulbous while others are flat, as you can see in the photos.

To make matters worse, while I was still getting my nails done, Jennifer accepted a walk-in client. Although I understand that walk-ins can happen, it was only us two but she seemed to forget about me entirely. When she finally returned, she hastily applied cuticle oil, placed a hot towel on my hands for only a moment, and quickly applied two pumps of lotion without properly rubbing it in before declaring that I was finished. As a result, I was left with visible lotion streaks on my hands.

As this was my first time at a salon, I was expecting a certain level of professionalism. Instead, it felt like I was being rushed through to make room for the next client, which gave the impression of prioritizing profit over quality. I’m disappointed with the service I received and won’t be returning.

Update:
It has been two days and the shellac has already chipped.

Pros:
- They were able to fit me in same day.
- My nail tech was friendly.
- $40 is a reasonable price in this area.
- Nails buffed and shaped reasonably well.

Cons:
- First colour I chose was extremely tacky and the tech attempted to apply it anyways only to have to wipe it off and have me choose another colour.
- I had to ask the tech to apply the polish all the way to edges of my nails, at which point she several times went over onto my skin. In some areas there are still gaps.
- She did not adequately clean my skin off before prompting me to put my hands under the lamp and I now have sticky edges of my nails to my skin, and several splotches of paint on the skin around my nails. This lasted 24 hours and was irritating.

Overall, I would not recommend this salon. There are others in the area that do a much better job. I am not distraught but I am not happy with my nails.

Update today I seen Jennifer and she did an awesome job on my nails.i cant wait to go back.(gold nails)

Went back to Jennifer, she is amazing. Super nice and her service is wonderful. She has done a fantastic job on my nails both times. She listens to what I want 🙂 keep up the great work Jennifer ? (black and red with snowflake)

Again Jennifer is amazing ? she listens to what I want and she does an awesome job. This time I wanted valentines ? nails ?. She is always so kind.

Super amazing! Got a heck of a spa treatment for both my hands and feet along with my back from the massage chairs that are complimentary. Our nail tech was also super awesome, making sure we were comfortable throughout the entire appointment. Mine and my mom's nails look fantastic by the end of it too! Glad that they were able to accommodate us for same day appointments and got us in at the time we were available for. Me and my mom will be coming back for more.

My wife and I have been going to KQ Nails for about a year now and the quality of service we receive from Jennifer and Michelle is amazing. We usually come every 2 weeks for a manicure/pedicure and acrylic nails and have had an awesome experience every time. We sometimes bring our 8 and 4 year old daughters for a kids manicure/pedicure and Jennifer and Michelle are great with our girls as well. As a male some nail salons can be a little intimidating but at KQ I always feel welcome, and I am very comfortable there. The value for dollar at KQ is also better then most other nail salons I have experienced. I would highly recommend KQ Nails and Jennifer and Michelle.

Jennifer is absolutely fantastic! I’ve been going to her for almost 2 years now for all my pedicure and manicures. Her attention to detail is amazing and she always makes sure I’m happy with my nails. I get acrylic nails on my hands and shellac on my toes. Love the location I walk from my house in Mahogany, so great to have a good nail place in our area. The pricing is also extremely reasonable.

The ladies were pretty nice, but these are the worst acrylics i’ve ever had in my entire life. Other services might be better at this salon but do not get acrylic french tips. The lady who did my service failed to even clean up my nails after and my inspo pic was more of a milky white base with the white tip; i did not want nude. And when i asked her to change the colour after doing one nail she said something along the lines of “trust me it looks pretty” as well as when i asked her to clean up the tips and under the nails she literally went ahead and made them thicker and said “don’t worry.”

Jennifer always does a wonderful job with my nails. She takes her time to ensure it’s exactly what you want, it always comes out perfect. She is also very kind, and I appreciate her reaching out to me to book my nail fills in time. I would definitely recommend Jennifer!!
